Hi, we are Elize and Kim

I've always been drawn to exploring the meaning of life, spirituality, alternative medicine, and energy. My daughter has been very creative from a young age. What started as a candle project she couldn't handle has grown into a candle company with many ambitions. I develop everything, and she handles the creative side, developing content ideas.

We're frequent users of essential oils, which we use daily in our lives. But for a cozy atmosphere, we also enjoy lighting a scented candle every now and then. Since I always got headaches from scented candles, it quickly became my mission to put an end to this. By delving deeper into everything, I can confidently say that we now have the expertise to help others with this as well.

Everything is energy. By working from that perspective, you can release many blockages and inhibitions, both physically, mentally, and emotionally. That's why I energetically charge my candles and ensure they have the right intention. This way, you not only benefit from the therapeutic effect of the scent but also from the right energy that comes with it.

Zentao came after my training in Chinese medicine. Tao is the way of life, and Zen speaks for itself. Zentao therefore means "the way of relaxation." Essence was added later.

"Essence" refers to the deeper core of what we create—not just a pleasant scent, but a feeling, an experience. Each product is carefully formulated to not only stimulate your senses but also support your energy and create an atmosphere of peace, harmony, and well-being.
